so last night jason b texted me and i was so tired and out of it that i realized today that i didn’t text him back. i am a bad friend. amy was in town for her best friend’s bro’s wedding, but i won’t see her, she had a hectic weekend. i wonder how it went.

i am making an easy scarf, in addition to the clutch i am winging and maddy’s 2nd sweater and the moss’n'river rock scarf. i think that is everything. only 4 projects. and i have ripped out some other stuff i was not excited by. anyway, the scarf i started is a mix of a really pretty novelty yarn my mom got from australia that looks like mermaid yarn and has chunky pieces of pale green, purple, really light blue and seafoam blue on a seafoam fuzzy background. i mixed it with a boucle and it is really pretty and soft. it really looks like a scarf a mermaid would wear. i tried it in a drop stitch, but sometimes drop stitches look to crochet-y to me. i just went to spell me with two e’s. mee. i like that. it would be a good brand name. mee scarves. mee bags. i did another scarf with a drop stitch that is a really pretty feathery novelty and a mohair/wool scarf and i think i will add fringies. i don’t have any yarn that i like for that though, so i need to buy some. nothing is open today. rats! i kind of hate holidays for that reason.

moby dick is still alive. peeps saw him and stared at him and licked her lips every so often. pavel has been running around like a maniac since early this morning, and he ran across my arm and clawed me up big time. he has been attacking my pumas, putting his head in them, going under the covers. he dragged his scarf up onto the bed, it is more than 6 feet long, amy made it for my birthday and he stole it and chewed holes all through it, and drags it around like his wooby. he also had socky, his stuffed slipper sock of mine that he stole when he was a baby, onto the bed, as well as sever straws, his halloween sweater, some foam balls, rubber bands and hair bands. he is eating peeps’ newspaper rubber band and is chewing on it. we have to watch him because i found a big fat rubber band chewed into 3 pieces in the litter box, which seems a little dangerous.

well, back to mindless knitting. or maybe cabling, as i can’t do that at my inlaws, i will mess it up if i don’t pay attention. i need to get a different cable needle, it’s too slippery, although it works ok. cabling is fun!! it’s twisted!
