sunny sunday
man, was i tired last night. it was so nice to have the cats cuddling all over us. pavel was on jake’s head and then anytime he would move he would run to check if he was awake. it was nice. waking up nose to snoot with my awesome family.
at the store in savannah, WILD FIBER, they had all sorts of crazy things, including a really nice selection of yarns from a company in new york called HABU. here is the cincher…they make yarns and fabric out of silk/stainless steel/gold/silver, paper, hemp bark, bamboo…you name it…and they are gorgeous. soft…not like you would imagine…and the strength of a fiber like that makes it even more amazing, the possibilities for fine art works…ooh, i am so excited. combine that with the new book , or simply making some flexible, posable knits….ooh, i am giddy. the husband and wife that owned the shop were both artists, my in-laws were waiting in the car several blocks away, so i didn’t have time to hang out. i forgot to take photos, and it was gorgeous. they are not allowed to say “stitch’n bitch” so they call it a knit in. cute. i got some spinning mags there, some dpns for the hat i was working on, some roving, which was heaven to work with, i think that was all.
i have some ideas for some really cute little sheep ornaments to do whatever with, ala nick parks shaun the sheep.
wow, i am really sleepy still. i am not sure if it is a medication issue, or what, but i have been really out of it.

i didn’t buy any because most of their yarns are not even as thick as laceweight. really thin. i would want to make sure i know what i would use it for before buying any of it.
