quick rant from the editor of BNF blog

ok, i know that supposedly blogger had a scheduled outage yesterday at 4p. until WHEN? jesus! my post was missing bits and then i realized that a bunch of comments from the last few days (i moderate them to avoid spam or the super sneaky from-an-actual person spam) never got to me at all, but were sitting in the little comment section in the dashboard! so not cool. and then i worry that someone thinks that i am ignoring them or rejected their comment! so. not. cool. anyway, i changed it so that you don’t have to type in the code or anything, and i am sure i will have to change it back in no time flat due to spam. ok. i am calm. breathe. breathe. c’mon blogger. so not cool.

in other news, i have spun more than 10 lbs of fiber in about a week. ya. my studio looks like a herd of colorful sheep exploded. although is smells much better than that. also, i cut up yarn tonite, while in bed (poor jake) for some more of the scrappy yarns. i know i always say this, but they are for the shops i am working with, so if you want one, claim it now because it won’t be listed. i am doing a pinky purple orange one (i think) and a bluey, greeny, browny one. and again, for anyone one else that hoardes yarn scraps for no good reason, feel free to send em to me, i can swap ya something for them. kisses? love? hugs? cat hair? actually, i have been saving peeps hair to spin, it is several inches long and feels like angora. it really does.

i just needed to post about the comments. i think it is sorted out. knock on wood. oh, i may as well show you these fantastic new things i found…
covers for you mac that are the cutest thing evah!

this artistvia craftzine my new favorite bloggy. such great stuff on there. maybe they will want me to do something for them? please? please?

more to-morrow. some super art blogs.

off to read a bit. hopefully i won’t wake up with my sketchbook and pens and book and everything next to me this morning. it freaks me out because i didn’t even remember falling asleep. i think the cats drugged me and then stole all of the change from my purse (not much) and bought a jolt cola, which explains why pavel has been acting insane and dragging their giant cubes around the house and his 8 ft scarf that amy made for me. not you, pavel. for me. and it didn’t have baby kitten teefy bud-made holes in it then. not that you care about other people’s things. cats. no respect! especially not for me. i am the lowest on the totem pole in this house. papa first, then the two girl cats, pavel, then me. if i yell at them, no one stops what they are doing or even fliches. ridiculous. don’t i scare you?

    Natasha-

I had left you a comment several days ago offering you about 10 prefelted sweaters from a project gone bad. Maybe we could do a swap of some sort. Could you let me know if you’d like them?

I am an obsessive yarn scrap keeper, so I will evaluate what I have an perhaps send you some that I can bear to part with. What are you looking for/do you have any preferences?

I switched to a new browser, and now your page has everything all lined up at the top! It’s almost weird. I am used to having to scroll down to see posts.

And finally, I took pictures of the beads I’ve made so far and I’m uploading them as I type this! Hopefully I will be able to post them in my blog soon. They’re so over-due! I’m desprately trying to think of good ideas of what to do with them, though. I’m kind of out of the jewelry loop, and I don’t know what else to incorporate them into. I might just end up giving them away or something.

jess, i can use pretty much anything. send me the stuff you don’t want. seriously.

as for the beads, you could make really simple charms out of them, stitch markers, earrings (super easy) or you could even sell them if you wanted to. i did some wire crochet with them and they look super cool. i cannot wait to see them!

and carmell, i am afriad to switch, cuase i hear bad things about all of the different ones

I have been having the same problem, comments not being published, or delivered. Totally blanking up my template –so I had to redo it. bites.

My cat has all the good drugs. And don’t feel bad my studio is always a mess. Well I don’t have a studio it is more like a room in the basement that my wife locks me in. I like to think of it as my studio.

And since you are not checking for spam anymore I am selling some land in Florida, It is an exclusive strech of wetland. Email if you are interested.

I will definitely go through what I have and what I should keep/not keep. I am a pack rat. I just got a giant bag of hideous acrylic that used to belong to my great grandma. I can use a lot of it, but some of it I just can’t ever see myself using. Also I keep scraps and such.

I like them in the wire crochet. Stitch markers would be a good idea but I am the type that just uses the little plastic rings. So perhaps I could sell them. Hm. I’d thought about earrings, kind of to match whatever other jewelry I came up with though. They are just so fun to make that I can’t stop!

zeeps, it is nice that she lets you call it your studio. “prison” has such a negative connotation. you know?

as for the vacation spot in florida, i will mail you a check immediately.

10 pounds of fiber in a week?!? Whoa. I have a big (for me) order to spin up for a lys and I can feel it slipping through my fingers–and not into my spinning wheel if you catch my drift. Between giant baby belly, husband away for work all week, the little girl sick all last week, pulling together her birthday party for next weekend (only a month late, better late than never), I’ll be lucky if I survive till this kid pops out…

Plus the last glob of roving that I dyed seemed like a ton of fiber to me and I spun it up–thin–last night and it filled half a bobbin, aargh. Hate that! Oh well. You amaze me. I hope all your hard work is paying off for you. I love the pinky scrap yarn, btw–very nice!
