i am not even sure whence last i blogged, but i have been soooo tired. saturday, we had the wedding, which i was dreading (why? dunno.) anyway, i got this dress at macy’s:
which i later decided looked a bit tarty with the dark stockings and light shoes. but i love those shoes! and the nude fishnets i planned to wear, new out of the package developed a gigantic hole in the ankle whilst i attempted to put them on. sheesh. and also, despite passing up a bunch of patterned dresses due to the humungous focus on my huge bosems, and thought that this smaller pattern worked well, in the photos i realized that was maybe not the case. plus, i noticed several dudes gawking at them, and i never notice things like that. ah well.
the bride and groom were so excited to be getting married and giggled and blushed all through the cermony and it is a rare thing to see, oddly. it was really sweet. the downfall was the it was more than 90 minutes drive each way and i was carsick. waa waa waa.
i was so exhausted yesterday that i didn’t do anything. not knit. not anything. literally not anything. today, i woke up with a super bad migraine, not just the hangoverish sort, so i took my drugs and tried to get rid of it. i haven’t even been checking mail over the last couple of days i have been so out of it and headachey! and i am so not like that. at least once a day, usually twice. so, once i got myself into okay condition, i skeined up all of my bobbins’ full and labelled them and took photos: snow bride, i plan to do a white with blue and white with purple version, too, and each skein is more than 100 bulky yards! woot woot! they photograph a bit plain, but what can i do?
i am hoping to feel good to-morrow…back on my “C” game, like i usually am. i wanted to spin sooooo badly today, all of those empty bobbins, and i needed to go to joann’s for some felt, and i couldn’t see, so i thought it was a bad idea. driving and migraines just don’t mix, really.
i am zoning out. so off i go.

oh my god that dress rocks! I got a similar one from H&M…but your pattern is prettier.
you are adorable btw! great shoes, I never wear heels anymore with my wretched heel spurs…and lack of balance LOL.
HOW on gods earth do you get 100 yrd bulky on a bobbin!! I’m so jealous…damn tiny Maja bobbins! I was looking on the website and it said the bulky bobbin was 10 oz…RIGHT!!! 10 oz if I tie heavy things on the yarn maybe, but not YARN itself! This is the only thing I dislike about my wheel-great giant oriface and small bobbins. I just spun one on the regular bobbin and it was overflowing=grand total 55 1/3 yards bulky!!!!
anyhoo=nice to see you back! I figured you were busy cramming for Handmade arcade~
Good lordy girl you look so hot in that photo!! It’s nice to hear about a wedding where the bride and groom are having fun and enjoying each other rather than being all stressed. That is pretty rare these days.
Sorry you were out of commission on Sunday. I’ve had some pretty off days myself lately. Weird.
Awww – sorry you’re not feeling well. Hopefully you can get some rest and feel better!
And man, you are working that dress! Very sexy!
Oh, and thanks for the tip about the pics on my blog. I was able to load a bunch of pics and it was way less stressful than praying to the Blogger gods (can’t be goddesses the way things always go wrong!) that they would just LOAD MY PICS! There’s a question for you, too, at the bottom of the 2nd entry for when you’re feeling better! Smooches!
You look great in that dress! It is very 40′s. all it needs is one of those little hats!
Hope you are feeling better.
You look amazing. LOVE the tatoo sleeve.
The snow bride is perfect and what a great name!
barbe, we will have to go out as twins! and thanks, btw!
as for the bobbins, my louet bobbins, just the regular ones hold a good bit, the bulky bobbins are biiiig. when i have really bulky chunky stuff like that bits n pieces yarn it is more like 60 yards. on my lendrum, the regular bobbins are teeny. like doll bobbins and i never use em.
hedgehog, thanks! and i think it is maybe the change of weather. i know lots of people that have been feeling extra poopalicious lately, too.
amanda, thanks thanks!
i am glad that the flickr method worked better. once i realized that you could do it that way i practically jumped for joy. much faster. not fast, but you can control the size of the pic, too, which is nice. also, i think there is a thing on there to make tiles with multiple photos, which would be cool.
cheryl, a hat! oooh, with a little veil? that would have been cool. i did wear a shrug with it, too, so it really would have been coool. i would have looked like a dollar a dance girl.
holly, thanks! i almost called it the snow princess. it is much prettier in person, though.
n, i had such a great time talking today! you got me thru my hallowig, thanks. you already know i *love* you in that dress, and the tarty shoes are almost the best part (besides your rack, of course).
loveloveLOVE the new yarns!!
happy halloween. xoxoxo
Happy Halloween, sweetie! You looked gorgeous in your dress! Sorry you’ve been migraining – ugh! The pits! The yarns are beautiful – hurray for big updates. xoxo
aw velma, thanks! i love to have a fellow tart to chat to.
lynn, you are so sweet! today, virtually no migraine at all! woot!
You look hot! x
nora, you are so sweet!
You are ADORABLE! Even if you are a tart *grin*
hey flutter…get off my corner! ha. haaaa. giggle. snort. i have been called far far worse than a tart. for sure. a light crispy pastry with fruit? mmmm.
Hi sweet&strange natasha.. can I use your picture in my blog ? I have already do it at
