bad bad me.

okay. i didn’t check emails yesterday. few days ago i posted some fiber on the livejournal selling fiber and spinning fiber group pages. let me say, i didn’t read the rules, and that is totally not right. and lazy. additionally, i thought that the way i posted my photos was fine, i post to fiber friday and have never had an issue (those people are too nice, i guess) anyway, i got like 20 comments in varying amounts of nastiness, with one person that suggested that i may have just made a mistake, which was poopooed by another member, not possible. i am just the lex luther of the blogging world. EVIL! i am! anyway, rather than just deleting the post that i left and letting me know (nicely?) that you can’t post the same thing to two groups, and that rather than 500 pixels, my photo needs to be 450 pixels (seriously) in which case i would’ve have felt guilty and dumb, rather than hurt and angry, they send me nasty comments and assume that i knew the rules and decided to post something that would not only piss everyone off, but get deleted.

last week, on one of my flickr groups, a moleskine group (a kind of notebook) someone posted non-moleskine artwork and when confronted (nicely) about it, he acted like a bit of a turd. i didn’t read the group rules and i should have, but jesus christ, how do these people have so much time to be so mean? and why do they care so much? let me repeat…the post should have gotten deleted and i should have gotten a comment or email (wouldn’t that have been nice!) letting me know that if i do that again i will have my fingers confiscated. ok. i will shut up now, and hopefully i will not be flogged for posting here about it.

i sent a comment back telling them that i was sorry, i didn’t realize that i had done something wrong at all, let alone to piss so many people off so intensely…i thought “spinning fiber” is the group name, and i put a post with some spinning fiber. but i said that i should have read the rules and i will do so and sorry.

i know that if you don’t follow the rules you are out, and that is totally fair. why be so damn mean, though? needless to say, they won’t have to worry about me posting there anymore. anything. at all. not an issue.

what say you? okay, off to spin. i can’t sit around and stew like some other people do. at least my cats still love me.

Awww. I saw your post and the first couple of comments and figured out what was coming. Yeah - you gotta be so careful not to step on the damn delicate toes on lj. One email would have been sufficient, for sure. People sure get their panties in a wad about nothing. I swear I have cross-posted to the various groups and not been trampled on. I have always followed the size limits though because I know people don’t like over 400 or 450 pixels because some people’s computers can’t handle it. No one has ever been rude to me about cross-posting though. I mean, if you belong to one fiber community chances are you belong to several of them. It really doesn’t bother me in the least to see someone’s post over and over. I’ve seen posts go thru 5 or 6 times. No big deal!! Kisses on your bruised sensibilities. And hugs, too. xoxo

We still love you! Sometimes I think people sit around in their spare time thinking of new and exciting ways to be buttholes! Fuggedaboudit! Hugs and smoochies!

lynn, yeah, i thought that the moderator could have just deleted my post as soon as she saw it and dropped me a note. i didn’t know about the size limit (although the pics were under 500 pixels) and i didn’t know about doing the photo thing on a different page. i would just rather have nothing to do with them because it does seem like they were quick to jump on the bandwagon to just act mean and try to humiliate me. one person actually stood up for me and said just what you said, she has accidentally done it before and it was probably just a mistake, and everyone jumped in to say that it wasn’t. other than fiber friday, i will be staying away from lj communities. if i wanted to be abused like that, i would go back to high school. thanks for the kisses, it really helps!

amanda, i agree…people posted MULTIPLE comments about it. who cares? and why? i called some blog friends because i was upset at being torn apart like that, and i think that it is de rigeur to beat everyone up like that. evil biatches.

how is it that my spinning and knitting bloggy friends are so fantastic and sweet? (and super pretty, too)?

yeah, those spinning fiber people. omg they are so mean. they must walk around all day with sticks up their you know whats. i had a post deleted last week from yarnmarket, i believe it was, because my picture was over 400 px. wide. i was told i had 10 minutes to delete it but i posted and then left the house so i was able to resize in the right amount of time.

ive had my fair share of rudeness from people on lj, but then you meet people like lynn and barbe and a few others and you remember why you like it :)

amanda…i will go check it out. the computer crapped the bed, so no go yesterday.

jamye…i don’t want anything to do with that stupid group anymore. i don’t need to be treated like an asshole.

I know what you mean! The last time I posted to spinning fiber, I was snapped at because I used the wrong word for something. Alot of LJ communites are like that. It just goes along with Lj Drama. Not everyone checked there email every 3 seconds. Some people are just mean.

seriously? i hate mean people…it is a *huge* pet peeve of mine…i try to be nice & gracious allllllllll the time & when someone is out & out mean to me - i want to hate them, but ultimately i want to cry that someone found it in themselves to make another human miserable…arrrggghhh! hope your day(s) got better & no one else is mean to you!

coley-they can stick it where the sun don’t shine. the thing that really pisses me off is that rather than deleting the post (which is fine) and sending me a private message, they chose to make it into a mob calling me names…including saying that i obviously don’t know how to read, or would have read the rules. seriously. they said that.

jenifer, i know! it really is just as easy to be nice, especially if you aren’t sure whether it was a mistake or…whatever. i just don’t get it. it is easy enough to offend people once you get to know them a bit better, i would think they would want to wait a moment, you know!

i am glad to see that it isn’t just me. i do wonder if they are just online trolling around 24/7 or what? looooooosers!

that’s ridiculous.. the person who is moderator should have just sent you an email saying couldn’t post it because of…
    what a debacle!

what is “moleskin art”? Drawing in the graphed moleskin journals??

Hmm. guess there are groups for everything.

I am sick I know…wonder if there is a group for people that drool when they sleep. LOL
I am in an odd mood this morning…

    cheryl, i know!

the moleskine is a type of journal (not made out of mole skins, happily) that have been used for hundreds of years by tons of famous artists (van gogh, picasso) famous writers (hemmingway, faulkner) and are just nice compact sketchbooks/journals/planners. they hold up really well, have nice paper, a little pocket in the pack and an elastic that holds it shut which i love. i am a journal destroyer. oh, lots of them also have a book marker in them. it sounds dorky when i say it outloud but we all have our favorite materials to work with , and lots of people even become superstitious about them. i am doing a swap with an artist in russia who asked if i could get her a moleskine because you can’t get them there! funny, huh?

Dude, I am totally with you. I made a posting error (not a big one either I might add) on one of the message boards I belonged to (past tense) and they took off after me like I was Frankenstein and they were the angry mob. It was waaaaaay out of context. I apologized and just took myself out of that loop. People can be so yucky. You know? Jeesh.

    Love you!

as my cats say, they can lick my anus! arseholes. i have plenty of friends, and losers like that can just sit there and spin their smooth thin yarn (no offense to thin smooth yarn) and hate on people that use color or texture or 50 too many pixels! i am just a skidge below hitler due to the 50 pixel thing. love you too!
