firstly, does anyone watch ugly betty? it is such a fantastic show. so sweet, but really smart. one of my favorite things is that they will mock a celebrity and barely change their name. for example there was going to be the first photoshoot of “tim and chloe’s” baby “chutney” hmmm i wonder if they are talking about tom and katie? and their baby named after an alpaca. jake and i were cracking up. and then saying it to ourselves. baby chutney. ha. chutney. hilarious. and the outfits on betty are hilarious. so, go and watch it! i think you can even download the episodes for free for those who (!?!?) don’t have a tv.

otherwise, thanks so much for all of the rash suggestions. it is still raging full on (did anyone get the firehose out of that?)but is moving around from hour to hour. so odd. it is on my neck and my face is sort of puffy and pocked around my mouth, but still nothing on my arms and legs. odd, heh? i imagine it means something, particularly because most diseases or reactions start with your face or your extremities from what i could find online, anyway. i am pumped full of benadryl, so i am sleeeepy.

i did a loooooooot of spinning today. i got myself mostly caught up. i have an update to-morrow around 6ish, i will be sending an email earlier in the day about it with a special deal for you, my little fiber rockstars. i am really hoping to do some dyeing too but i am not sure if that is realistic. monday at the latest.

i hope i look okay to-morrow because we need groceries and i would like to go to joann’s and pick up some stuff i need. so. i don’t want to have to wear a ski mask. you know?

i got a silver x-mas tree last year which i haven’t ever used yet. it will be a hannukah bush if anyone asks…got it? when i was a kid, i was so jealous of all the xmas stuff everyone had. my family are not from america and are jewish, and the huge hannukah thing is american jews trying to make their kids feel better about not getting xmas, but no one in any other country makes a fuss like that. so we didn’t get a ton of stuff because it wasn’t a big deal. but it became a really depressing time for me. nothing to look forward to and then when you go back to school, everyone has all kinds of new stuff and they ask you what you got and…nothing. so depressing. now, i know it is a bit corny to be so into it, it is more about being festive and happy and being with the people we love and admire, sending presents to our far away friends that make our lives so much better and now it isn’t depressing anymore. i have an amazing husband, and family and kitties and friends that are to die for! where was that going? well, i need to figure out what i am going to do about ornaments, i have a handful. literally. i would like to make em, but i am not sure that i really have time for that.

i am getting super sleepy, so i am going to read a bit. i was up until about 5 am this morning itching. a photo? lemme see what i can dig up.
here is yet another snow bride…in purple this time.
she is really gorgeous. i do plan to do one that is really pale purple all plied into the white. i also plan to do a pale blue one. it is a bit addictive, i must say. i also plan to spin and ply a bunch of yarns and then handpaint them, which i think will be gorgeous. after reading about shaefer yarns on someone’s blog (i can think of who it was…so tired, feel free to drop a mean comment if it was you) and i had used them before i learned to spin and they are just lovely. anyway, after looking at their site and the yarns i had from them from a couple of years ago, i thought that i would like to try dyeing that way again. you know, cause i have so much time. but really, it is easy enough to just spin a yarn an then dye it.
