and the rash goes on…
wow, my rash is famous! is it gone? no. it is all over my face and i can’t wear makeup to cover it, it is on my chest, neck and shoulders. i am on steroids from the dr and they aren’t helping yet, although i feel the panicky steroid feeling in my stomach. i hate that. my bloodwork revealed that my white blood cell count was not elevated at all, and it should have been, whether it be due to allergic reaction or a virus, so that is not really a good thing, because it doesn’t make any sense. so, to-morrow i have to go for a whole bunch of bloodwork, which sucks because on monday i got only one test done and could have just gotten everything then. ah well. hopefully this will clear up before the weekend. i am supposed to do a trunk show this weekend at sugar boutique but i called jamie to tell her that if i looked like this and wasn’t able to wear makeup i wouldn’t be there, because i would scare everyone away. my face is just covered in a rash and it hurts. and the trunk show is two days, i think 8 or 9 hours the first day, i am not sure what the second day was, regardless, i have lots of stuff made for the show, and will get it to her. so. i thought the steroids would have helped more by now, but the fact that my blood counts are not correlating makes me worry that it won’t work at all. so. that is that. i haven’t slept for the last couple of nights. i was up at about 4:30 with a sore throat and got a decaf coffee, and then the garbage truck came, and then just knitted. so. tired.
most all of the stuff i updated on the site got sold (thanks!) and i have a few other things up my sleeve that i need to get organized. i also have some batts to add. here is a preview…let me know if you want them before i list them…
and then this that i made for a swap…it is a combo of commercial yarn and pencil roving knitted up:
today one of my most favorite people in the world, gabe came over and hung out with me for a bit, we worked on some prep for some of his prints and i gave him a white knitted roving necky thing for his birthday. he gave me a drawing and a little painting, i will take photos and show ya, don’t worry. he used to come in and help me when i still had the shop and he just made everyday a pleasure. no matter how bad of a mood i was in, it always made me happy to hang out with him. he is one of those people that is so artistic and musical and charismatic that everyone wants to know him, to be friends with him. and in the end, if he is a good friend of yours, he will be forever. and it is a nice thing to know he is out there.
i am making myself tired, so i am going to try to perk myself up and do some spinning.
oh, did anyone watch big day last night? oh my god, it is so so funny! and miriam schorr(sp?) from hedwig and the angry inch is on it as the slutty/crazy older sister. she sleeps with a dude and accidentally drinks his contacts and he is legally blind.

Wow, I hope they can figure out what’s going on! Hopefully it will clear up enough that you can make it to the trunk show, it sounds like it’ll be fun!
Is the last fiber pic a batt? It’s purty…let me know what it is and how much! Thanks!

amanda, the fourth pic? if yes, it is superwash roving, as fun to spin as it really gets. like spinning, while eating a candy bar, drinking a coffee, talking on the phone and watching the real world. and then some. let me know how much you want…

I love your little neck and shoulder warmer thingies. Do you use a pattern?

no, i don’t really use a pattern, but i can give it to ya if you like. it is easy to change it as needed, depending on if you want a necky thing or a shoulder thing and they have a lot of stretch in them with the roving. and they are soooo warm, maybe too warm for you in australia.
