overdraaaaawn. grrrrr.
okay, just a short whiney rant. i already ranted to barbe and then had to go. good friend i am. (i sent you a box today though…) okay, so i managed to accidentally used my bank card to pay for a bunch of small purchases at amazon instead of my credit card(i think it automatically used that one) and ended up with about $250 in overdraft charges. yeah. i transferred money from paypal leaving me with no money anywhere, then found out that in the several days it would take to transfer, i would accumulate at least 3 more bounces at $34 bucks each and jake came to my rescue and put cash on his credit card for me until the money comes through. sigh. so, i ranted to jake about how i would rather have flushed the money down the toilet, burned it, etc, etc, etc. this is why i use my credit card instead. no bounces. how am i this many years old and do this?
i swear, i will make a real post later. i swear it. i packed a zillion orders and swaps, etc, and that was all i got done, other than blowing money on nothing. grrrr.

I just started reading your blog recently and let me just say…this post was like reading my life. overdraft charges are THE devil. oh my gosh! It always happens when you least expect it…or some random charge will come through that you forgot about long ago…or, like you, you will use the wrong card to pay. I’ve only had it happen maybe a handful of times, but oh man..that is all you need..
that is the WORST feeling!! the pit of your stomach..I can’t believe that just happened..I think i’m gonna be sick, cause I just lost all that money..feeling.
anyway, not sure if I am making you feel better or worse, by pointing out how much it sucks! lol. maybe both?
personally, it’s nice to know there are lovely, super talented ladies out there who go through the same horrors as me, at times! I hope you are feeling a bit better and just know…it happens. go spin some gorgeous yarn and let the loveliness make you all warm & fuzzy inside. haha.
btw, your yarns are amazing!
.♥.

Stop beating yourself up. It’s an easy mistake to make, especially at a site that stores your information.
I worked in a bank for many years. You should call yours. Often they will waive most of the fees. Explain what happened and they may cut you a break.
Good luck and stay warm!

jenn-i am a bit better today. poor barbe and jake took the brunt of my rant. the worst part was that i had no idea what had happened because i did have money in my other account. grrrrr. and also, that it was 34 buck charges for 2 dollar cd’s! so not cool!
anyway, thanks so much for the commiseration. it does help me to not feel like quite the monetary moron that i am. i even told the cats that they are lucky that they don’t need money. they just looked at me like i was insane. ah well. thanks for delurking!

vickie, i did call them. in the last year they have not been able to waive fees (they used to be able to do a bit) i know them there and they would if they could, they are really good to me. i guess the issue is that it was COMPLETELY my own stupidity. sigh. thanks though!
